FlyInside.com Explains Free Virtual Tour Offer
RISMEDIA, April 4, 2006—Ever since the launch of www.FlyInside.com the Web site for creating real estate virtual tours for free, people have been asking, “What’s the Catch?” Today, the company explains how they make free virtual tours possible to its thousands of users throughout the world.
Although the company does not charge for creating, publishing or hosting virtual tours, there are currently three ways that revenue is generated — all of which involve optional products and services.
1. Tour Upgrades - Tour upgrades currently include a tour with no branding or contact information. This “unbranded” tour option is offered to users for 10 credits or around $10. Other tour upgrades in the works include “Designer Tours” and “Quick Contact” tours. The “Designer Tours” let users manipulate tour skins and color choices; the “Quick Contact” tours come complete with the agent’s phone number, e-mail address, Web site link, and the ability to instantly page the agent’s cellular phone.
2. Lead Purchases – Revenue is also generated from the sale of leads captured on the actual virtual tours. These leads cost 1 credit (about $1) each and are offered to the agent responsible for the virtual tour on which the lead was captured. It is important to note that a lead is not someone who has simply viewed the virtual tour, but someone interested enough in a specific property to ask a question, request a showing or have the virtual tour e-mailed to a friend. The purchase of leads is also optional.
3. Product Add-ons - Currently, clients can choose to post their virtual tour to Realtor.com® and other affiliated sites for a 25 credit fee. Other add-ons in the works include downloadable property brochures, offline tours for listing presentations, and other virtual tour Web distribution packages.
